I Am Active, An Aba Therapist - 858 Words

Disposition 1 Committed to lifelong learning Currently, I am emerging in this category. I firmly believe that in my field of early childhood special education it is critical to be constantly learning ourselves, in order to effectively teach the children we are working with. According to the rubric, a developed person in this category should: Demonstrate superior knowledge of subject matter, curriculum, and/or relevant professional practices. In addition, seeks ongoing understanding of current issues and trends in education field. In order to improve in this area, I will initiate discussions more often, read professional publications to gain knowledge of the autism field, and continue my coursework to become ABA certified. In my profession as an ABA therapist I find myself using these traits on a daily basis: communicate issues and problems clearly and comprehensively either verbally or in written format. In speaking with my supervisors at work; I am often complimented on my ability to accept feedback, whether (positive or negat ive) and apply it quickly to my therapy sessions.
